In 2020 I moved to iOS after taking a break from it for many years.

We all have our reasons for using Android, iOS, Mac, Windows or Linux, there are differences, there are similarities, and for those of us who actually care, these impact our decisions.

But one thing that I always liked with Android is the ability to customize the layout of my phone.

But I don’t care about customizing everything. Just the layout but it needs to be just perfect for me. With Android, I have been doing this from the start while Apple continued to ignore these features for years.

I mean widgets, always been a fan, and being able to hide apps that I do want on my phone but do not need to have on my homescreen.

I never liked the idea of having all of my apps on my phone screen or having to be bundled into a folder so they were out of the way.

I am very deliberate with the layout of my phone, apps and widgets and the ability to make these changes in iOS, since 2020 I believe, was the thing that made me try again.
