7 Habits Always On My Habit Tracker

I am immediately going to beg your forgiveness for the unoriginality of some of these habits, but there is a reason that some of these will come up on pretty much everyone’s list.

After all, we are all human, with the exception of a few extremely intelligent dogs reading this.

But I still think there are a couple of takeaways worth trying here, so please consider them all in your efforts to build habits.

In chronological order through my day, here they are.

(1) Pills — I don’t take anything too dramatic; vitamins, iron, etc. But effectively, any medicine that you can give yourself is best done at the start of the day if possible for me. It means I can get it out of the way in 10 seconds and start off by checking a tick box.

(2) Highlight of the day — I then move into my highlight habit. I have written about this before and concept of a highlight of the day is nothing new, but I have chosen to combine this into my habit list. This means that I am trying to forge this bond with the most important task of the day to become natural to increase the chance of success. Remember that the concept of the highlight of the day is that if you only manage to get one thing done, what would that one thing be?

This is often something I choose the moment I get out of bed (or even in bed, as I have no problems rising in a second). I often know what it is going to be in advance, and some days it may even overlap with some other habit. It could be creating content, exercising or even reading something particularly important that I might make notes on.

I don’t always get it done before everything else on this list because my day changes and exercising seems more important at certain times, but I do it 90% of the time before everything else.
