I really can’t believe how good some of these things are when compared to their premium, luxury, or simply more expensive peers. It is easy to just spend that little bit, or sometimes a lot more, than is needed while thinking that the more you pay, the better something must be. But that is definitely not always the case, and remember, sometimes you just don’t need the more expensive version in the first place. Sometimes, cheap is more than enough.
(1) Simple Mouse Mat £6.99 — Forget charging. Forget LEDs. Forget the full desk mats. I have tried and own them all, with them now gathering dust. For me, the best mat is a cheap, soft, grippy, but fairly large, budget-priced mouse mat that I own several of from Amazon. By far the most effective I’ve ever used.
(2) ANSIO Water Bottle £9.96 — I have owned, and lost, plenty of seemingly good-quality water bottles. But for less than £10, this is the best one I have used so far. It keeps things hot and cold, of course, and feels really solid, if you can imagine what I mean. Loads of colours are available, yet this is a fraction of the price of some fancy water bottles that really don’t add anything for me. I will stick with this and keep the change.
(3) Classic Sunglasses £4.49 — Now this is where you can see a real price difference between the cheap and the expensive. But what are you really getting for that price? Sunglasses rarely look better than this classic style for me, so I have several pairs left in various places as being so cheap, you can afford to own several.
