It was something of a revelation to me when I first discovered that extensions in web browsers were a thing. I viewed this as adding an app within a browser, which much of the time ran with automation. These just seemed incredible, like home automation, but they are actually useful. So many years later, I’ve removed a lot, tried a lot, and use a few on a daily basis.
So let us take a look at the 7 winners from me.
1. Bitwarden password manager
Oh boy, would I be miserable without this? Yes, you can run it in the background on your Mac or PC, but it is just not as seamless as having it in your browser, pin, password, or fingerprint protected, automatically filling in your details as the page loads.
No, saving everything to your browser and having that fill in your details is not the same and is far less secure. For goodness sake, just use a password manager already for goodness sake until passwords, hopefully, become a thing of the past.
