7 Desert Island Apps, Dedicate Yourself to Them and Abandon All Others
Yes, I know they wouldn’t work on a literal desert island exactly, but let us drift away nonetheless.
I often wrestle between having all the perfect apps on my phone to have things just right and then getting annoyed at the sheer number of apps and services that I end up using.
This then leads to a brutal cull and deletion which will no doubt be slowly undone over the following period, but what this does do is highlight what is left over, which brought me to this fun idea.
If I could only keep 7 non-native apps on my phone, what would they be?
Now, no cheating here. So I can not just substitute apps that I do not choose for accessing the same service on a web browser or similar. Once the app is not chosen, it is out of my life forever.
So let’s have a go.
(1) TickTick — To-do app, calendar app, habit tracker, and Pomodoro. A fantastic multi-tool that gets a lot done for the great value of one app. I wouldn’t say that this is the best app for any of these purposes, but it sure will give me some more options with my other apps.
(2) YouTube — Media. No biases here, but if you want a vast, endless, and growing catalogue of content, then this is it for me, especially when paying…
