7 Mac and PC Tips You Should Already Know

When I see other people working on computers and devices, it always amazes me how different their setups and workflows are from mine.

It is easy to be ignorant and think that all of these little tips and strategies that you have learned or been shown by others are somehow practised by everyone.

But I’m often surprised by how people use things and think that they must never have thought about things in the way I do, which is probably true.

So with that in mind, here are 7 things that I hope you already know, but just in case…

(1) Icons only bookmark bar

Show the bookmark/favourite bar all the time. Then add bookmarks to it, but use icons with no text. There is very little need to show the text, as sites generally have perfectly good icons that indicate what they are for.

KEY TIP: Bookmark the exact page you need, not just the general site. For example, my YouTube bookmark goes to my Watch Later page, which I use first before looking for further content.

Use password managers, but enable face ID, fingerprint or other security systems to…
