7 Subscriptions That Saved Me $$$ in 2022

A monthly subscription is something to be avoided in general, but sometimes the savings they offer far outweigh the cost.

I still prefer a buy-it-once product, but when it comes to services, they basically must have an ongoing cost.

While I hate that, it also means that I look for savings wherever I can, and the kind of savings I find might not be what you expect.

If a subscription stops you from spending more money than it costs, it is worth it!

That is the key thing to remember. Even if it just helps you adjust your behaviour, it is important to understand this and go “big picture”.

Which subscriptions save me more than they cost?

I will try to help you today, as I try to do in all my writing.

1. Scribd — £10.99 or $11.99 per month

A subscription service that includes eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, podcasts and more.

Why did it save me money?

I bought way fewer books and eBooks as a result, and I spent even less on Audible than I normally do. I was able to use my existing Audible credits while also taking advantage of a few sales.
