It pains me to spend too much money, but therein lies the problem of how much is too much money.
It is all relative, so a book that is £30 seems pretty expensive compared with a £6 paperback, but the value often lies deeper. Sometimes, regardless of recommendations and reviews, I still find myself resisting spending when I don’t have to spend big. But what about the times when I took a leap of faith and it really paid off?
