Yes, there are many great features but because of the recent impact this feature has made on me and my phone use, this is currently my favourite feature.
Don’t you love it when you think to yourself, oh wouldn’t that feature be nice on my phone and then you discover that it already exists?
I sure do.
Now I have been “managing” my notifications over the past few months, really being ruthless which disabling as many notifications as possible and then going backwards and forwards on some. Even text messages including other messenger services are now delivered silently at least.
The people closest to me are listed as favourites and generally know to call if urgent, otherwise email me.
But I had started to fantasize about using do not disturb throughout the work day thinking that the set up from above would work just fine still.
Then it hit me.
In the notifications area of the iOS settings — notification summary.
The most hallowed of all settings.
For those of you who do not know, it is a way to schedule and save all nofitications you wish, to be delivered at a certain time of the day, in a single summary.
